We're on a mission to help patients select the best services to meet their medical needs. If you're interested in learning more about the US healthcare system, this is a great opportunity to help fix the currently tedious process of transitions in care. At Rockfish we're building tools to make this process less cumbersome and more transparent.

You will be working with the grand prize winners of the 2013 StartX Med Innovation Challenge at Stanford University. Click here to learn more about our team.

Summer Internship Opportunity

Job Description

We're looking for highly motivated students to help Rockfish grow. This includes:

  • Partnership Development: finding potential partners, reaching out, and managing relationships
  • Marketing: developing marketing materials, evaluating promotional strategies, and connecting with users via social media
  • Writing & Research: helping us to uncover trends and market opportunities, and sharing finding on our blog and at community meetings
  • Design & Programming: building data visualizations and tools to help users better understand information needed to help make the best decisions

We want people who are comfortable working independently with little supervision, who have a track record of being proactive in building relationships, and who bring a "can-do" attitude.

We're excited to hear about your ideas. If you're a good fit, we'll work with you to shape the role, project, and timing so that the internship supports your interests and skills. For those interested in part-time work, we're asking for a commitment of at least two days per week.

Rockfish is based in Palo Alto, CA, but we are open to interns interested in working remotely.

This is an unpaid internship, but Cyrus is offering programming training in Ruby on Rails and/or Javascript (most likely d3.js) to those who are interested.
